Tasks
The program is built on three fundamental pillars: Administrative Supervision, Academic Guidance and follow-up, and development and expansion.
The first pillar: Administrative supervision :
Administrative supervision acts as the liaison and coordination point between the university—represented by the program—and other deanships and centers within the university (such as the King Abdullah Institute for Research and Consulting Studies), as well as the students' sponsoring entities from major corporations and government bodies. Additionally, it involves coordinating with sponsoring entities to monitor students and organizing meetings and workshops between sponsors and students. Furthermore, administrative duties encompass overseeing the renewal, updating, and signing of agreements, announcing and promoting scholarships, and drafting and submitting reports on the program's achievements.
The second pillar: Guidance and follow-up:
The second axis of the program focuses on academic guidance and follow-up. It aims to monitor sponsored students, ensure their academic success, and address any academic challenges they may face. This also includes providing continuous academic counseling, submitting quarterly reports, and issuing specialized reports for struggling or delayed students while coordinating with supervisors from the sponsoring entities to rectify the status of these students, should any issues arise.
The third pillar: development and expansion:
The third pillar aims to develop and expand the program by strengthening relationships with sponsoring entities and collaborating with them to scale the scholarship initiative. Additionally, it involves cultivating new partnerships and communicating with prospective entities from both the public and private sectors to contribute to student sponsorships, hosting these entities, and introducing them to the university. Furthermore, development efforts focus on upgrading the program's website and its content, as well as automating the processes of academic guidance and student follow-up.
