Tasks

The program is based on three main pillars: administrative supervision of the program, guidance and follow-up, and development and expansion:

The first pillar: Administrative supervision of the program:

The administrative supervision of the program involves acting as the primary point of contact and coordination between the university, represented by the program, and other university deanships and centers, such as the King Abdullah Center for Consulting Research. It also includes coordinating with student scholarship agencies (sponsors) from major companies and government agencies, as well as following up on students and organizing meetings and workshops between sponsors and students. Additionally, the administrative supervision includes tasks such as renewing, updating, and signing agreements, announcing and defining opportunities, and writing and submitting reports on the program’s achievements.

The second pillar: Guidance and follow-up:

The second pillar of the program focuses on providing academic guidance and support. Its goal is to monitor the progress of students who are sponsored by agencies, ensuring that they are successful in their academic pursuits. The program also aims to address any academic challenges faced by scholarship students, offering guidance and assistance as needed to help them overcome obstacles throughout their academic journey. This involves providing academic counseling, submitting quarterly reports, as well as reporting on students who may be struggling or falling behind, and maintaining communication with supervisors at scholarship agencies to address the situations of students who may be facing difficulties.

The third pillar: development and expansion:

The third pillar focuses on developing and expanding the scholarship program. This involves strengthening the relationship with scholarship agencies and collaborating with them to expand the program. It also includes forming partnership contracts and engaging with new agencies from both the public and private sectors to facilitate the sending of students, hosting of students, and promoting the university. Additionally, the goal is to enhance the scholarship program by improving the website and its content, as well as automating the guidance and follow-up processes for students.
