The Academic Plans and Programs Department was established in line with the University’s vision, its aim towards leadership, and its desire to enhance learning outcomes to meet development plans, job market needs, and standards of academic accreditation. The Department is one of the units under the Vice Rectorate for Educational and Academic Affairs, and it was established for a number of reasons:
1. Expansion in all areas of the educational process, both cognitive and technical
2. The stereotypical nature of academic plans and the need to establish clear standards and procedures for preparing academic plans and programs
3. Enhancing knowledge and skill-based content in academic plans
4. Linking the goals of academic plans and programs to learning outcomes
