criteria for prepartion of the curriculam
Criteria for preparing academic plans:
- Observing the minimum and maximum number of credits as set by KSU (not less than 120 credits)
- Following the course-coding system established in the college/department
- The number of credits shall not exceed 3 for theoretical courses and 2 for practical ones. Colleges exceeding this limit must provide a valid explanation.
- Courses shall be distributed to span not less than 8 semesters with a minimum of 12 credits per semester
- Ensuring that courses within a college do not overlap
- Ensuring that different academic departments at KSU are unified through coordination
- Ensuring that academic plans include a cooperative or summer training component in all programs/department, in addition to a field training component
- Ensuring that academic plans include a practical applied component in addition to a focus on skills’ development
- Including courses in each semester, as may be possible, which are taught in English or which require the use of English
- Ensuring the logical order of courses and indicating prerequisites while minimizing prerequisites as much as possible
