University education in Saudi Arabia has benefitted from generous funding. A budget was allocated to support a number of development initiatives (e.g., the initiative to develop academic departments and the initiative to develop strategies and methods for student-centered education) based on established specifications and regulations and in a competitive manner among Saudi universities. KSU succeeded in securing a number of projects in this regard. |

2. The Project for Developing the Educational Process and Academic Plans |

The Vice Rectorate for Educational and Academic Affairs oversees the Project for Developing the Educational Process and Academic Plans which includes 14 executive projects for different colleges at KSU. A supervisory committee was formed which bases its selections on the projects and initiatives proposed by colleges, in addition to the strategic plan for learning and teaching. |
