The Ministry of Education’s Initiatives
University education in Saudi Arabia has witnessed generous funding. In acknowledgement of the importance of developing educational processes in Saudi universities, the Ministry of Education has allocated a budget to support a number of development initiatives (e.g., the initiative to develop academic departments and the initiative to develop strategies and methods for student-centered education in Saudi Universities). This is to be conducted in a competitive manner among Saudi universities and in accordance with established standards and specifications.
Universities have submitted proposals for the implementation of these development programs and projects within their relevant fields, and King Saud University was successful in allocating the following projects:
